Thanks so much for straightening out the "children" for Abraham's (Hendricks) memorial. I am pretty sure you and I have corresponded before about the Hendricks, as I remember you were so very kind in providing some info for me and a copy of a Hendricks family picture :)
I still have those bible pages showing those children were from Ralph O Woodward and Nancy Moss Woodward. It is very unfortunate the the 1880 census-taker listed the children as "Hendricks" in that census. But Abraham never adopted them as their last names never changed. The "Edgar" Woodward family is well documented here in the Brush area of Colorado. My husband and I visited the cemetery there. Maud is my husband's great-grandmother and she is listed as "Woodward" on her marriage certificate to Jerome Felts. However you are absolutely correct, Marcellus was indeed, the only child of Nancy and Abraham. I also have the bible page noting his death. Well thanks again! Take good care and happy genealogy hunting
PS. Abraham did actually die in Kansas City. He has a Missouri death certificate. They moved back to KS City sometime in the early 1920's.

She was my favorite teacher. I visited her in 2003, when she was still living at home near Two Buttes, CO. She was blown away that I remembered her, after all those years! She taught English and Home Economics. I moved to Woodward, OK from Walsh, CO, in 1979 (after completing 8th Grade in Walsh). I was part of the Class of 1983, which included Ruthie Sheppard, Jana Seaman, Lance James, Shawn Clark, Daphne Eslick, Lisa Raney, Mary Langon, Cousins Yvette Cogburn & Mitch Cogburn (who was a year younger than his sister, Darla), to name a few.

Jay Hammond was my Uncle!! He drove the feed truck for a feed lot East of Syracuse, KS. And I would ride in the truck with him. He said I could eat the corn flakes he was feeding the cattle; and I did, though they were not as good as Kelloggs!!

You should leave her LAST married name as her LAST name. See Find A Grave naming instructions. Thank you, Stephen

No, I am not related to Minerva. I am just a cemetery walker updating cemetery records.

Thanks for sharing. Nellie LOWE DOAK's mother (Salome PEEBLES LOWE) was my 1st cousin 5x removed. I love doing this it is like putting a big puzzle together, and not an easy one. I have over 8,000 people in my family tree and am updating all of them with the memorial numbers from Find A Grave.
