My Beloved Dad

~~Greetings from the great state of Indiana~~

The online memorials I've created are my
kinfolk, and a few family friends. It's taken many years to find the dates of death and burial places for some of these individuals. I welcome all corrections.

RE: Elizabeth Swaine Ogden
Ah I see what you mean. I wasn't sure if your issue was with who her parents were or the burial location. Considering your point, I changed Samuel's and Johannah's burial locations to "unknown" so it is more accurate. So if you would like to still link Elizabeth to them, it would be more accurate now and still help others to find out information on the family.

If you have further information to share on Samuel and Johannah (Joanna, etc), I'd be happy to add to their memorials.

Thank you for taking the time to reply and for being so thorough.

Elizabeth Swaine Ogden

I'd suggested an edit for Elizabeth Swaine Ogden (Find A Grave Memorial# 50973912) as information I had found showed her parents memorialized in Fairmount Cemetery in Newark. Your response noted that my information differed from yours and was incorrect. If I have made an error, I would love to correct it or if you have information that would add to her parents' biographies, I would love to to compare notes with you.

RE: Jesse Spencer (Spencer Cemetery
Thanks JJ for responding. My great grandfather John Walter Eaheart was born in Tassinong. His mother was the sister of Jesse Spencer. Her name was Mary Ann Spencer married to Joseph Bartholomew. Joseph was the co-founder of Tassinong.

RE: Jesse Spencer (Spencer Cemetery
Thank you for answering me on the source of Jesse Spencer's picture. In 1995 the Porter County library had a large file on the Spencer family. Someone copied their genealogy tree and notes for the Spencer family. There was no picture of Jesse Spencer in the file at that time.

Jesse Spencer (Spencer Cemetery" Porter County
Wonderful picture of Jesse Spence 1798 16 Nov 1868 Porter County Indiana buried in Spencer Cemetery. Could you tell me the source of the picture. Is it out of a book? I am related to his sister Mary Ann Spencer Bartholomew.

Mr. Coppinger, I am married to Dean Thomas who was previously married to Joyce W. Spencer, great-granddaughter of Eli Carman Spencer. I see that you have put information on this site regarding Eli and other Spencers. Dean is very interested in learning more about these people, primarily for the benefit of his children by Joyce as these would be their ancestors. Could you please contact me regarding the possibility of your talking with Dean or even maybe meeting -- we live in Northwest Indiana in La Porte County. Thank you -- you may write to me at

Flowers on Dickinson Family

I see you have left flowers on the memorials for several members of the Dickinson family in the Dickinson Cemetery in Fayetteville.

Are you related to this family? I've been doing some research that connected to them and would love to compare notes if you are.
