John was born on Wednesday, 13th day of September, 1961 at 12:05 PM at the Lincoln County Hosipital in Room 104. Named for his grandfather Bill Franklin and father's friend Jon Moores. Started playing trumpet in as a 7th grader in 1974 and continued to play until 1986 in the Jazz Band at Tennessee Technological University. Graduated on Saturday, June 7, 1986 at the Hooper Eblen Center in Cookeville, Tennessee. John got interested in genealogy in 1988 after learning of his great grandfather's, Roy H. Parkes, Sr., many written family histories. John has used his computer skills to enhance his research and organization of records.
