Jon lives in Kirkland, WA with his wife Deanna. His mother was Edna Louise Chenoweth, born to Harry Edward Chenoweth and Minnie Jane Holt. Harry had come out to the Seattle area from Pineville, MO about 1912. This in the line of the 3rd generation Thomas, son of John. Jon has been doing Chenoweth genealogy and hosting the Chenoweth website since 1996. He has attended all 7 national reunions (thru 2012) and made presentations at each of them. He graduated in 1966 from the University of Washington|
I would be more than glad to manage any Chenoweth memorial since I basically know who all these people were. This fall (2012) I manage over 1,300 Chenoweth pages out of 4,700 plus memorials created so far. I have also identified nearly 900 married daughters. Though 90% of the family uses this spelling "Chenoweth", there are other variants like Chenowith, Chinouth, Chenowth, Chinowth, Chinworth, Chenworth, Chineworth as well as variants of Chennyworth and Channyworth. Chynoweth and Chinneth are not part of the family of John Chenoweth and Mary Calvert, who comprise over 90% of the present population of US Chenoweths. For more info please visit the Chenoweth website I created.
The pix is probably what I look like after a hard day of genealogy, a bit frazzled!

New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013
Go to your Contributor/Profile page. Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.
Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/places/plot numbers/links. If you don't approve within 21 days it will automatically accept it and possibly change correct info.
You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.

I understand a 'hard day at genealogy'. Nice Pic.
Just found your site for ‘Missouri Jane Wright at Find A Grave Memorial# 110487367 https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=110487367&ref=acom ans her marriage document at https://www.ancestry.com/interactive/60282/004170569_00368/413539?backlabel=ReturnRecord&backurl=http%3a%2f%2fsearch.ancestry.com%2f%2fcgi-bin%2fsse.dll%3findiv%3d1%26db%3dFS1INMarriages1811to1959%26h%3d413539%26tid%3d1487243%26pid%3d24893129831%26usePUB%3dtrue%26usePUBJs%3dtrue%26rhSource%3d61335&ssrc=
You indicate on your ancestry site that your ‘Missouri Jane Wright’s parents are Philbert Wright and Prudence Kemp Wright as having a daughter in the 1870 census as Missouri J Wright, b. abt 1859.
I found the same information. Since I only have her in the 1870 census and she is not in the family unit in the 1880 census – I presumed she married [hopefully]. Your site confirms that, but I’m wondering if possible there is a legal document – family Bible or death certificate that indicates for certainty that she is the daughter of Philbert and Prudence.
I don’t mean to sound skeptical – the censuses that you show – more than indicate her existence. However, census history can be notorious for being ‘in error’. The 1880 census for 2 of her siblings indicate that. :)
A Bible record or d/c naming the parents would be solid evidence.
My relationship to Missouri Jane Wright goes back further from her GF, Philbert Wright and Nancy Frey – to her probable ancestor Rev. Richard Wright and Elizabeth Hughes of NC. Richard's ancestry goes back 3 more generation
In all honesty, to Rev. Wright IS circumstantial, but it has withstood the test of time. If you are interested, would be glad to furnish a copy.
Thank you for posting the site on find-a-grave AND ancestry.
I added a photo of Lawrence Chenoweth's grave marker in Parkwood Cemetery to your memorial page for him.

I was adding photos of the Chenoweth gravestones, & had to see who the manager of this site was: SO SORRY ABOUT YOUR FACE!!! Haha!! I do know that face, as I think I saw it in the mirror last noc while trying to add family stones which were hard to read, had same names, etc.! These gravestones are really impressive! Must have been quite a family in their day! Lucky you, & them for protecting their memories!

I transferred Joe's memorial to you as he is your family member; even though it was out of the stated findagrave guidelines..
Since then I have discovered that I had inadvertently created a duplicate memorial and have sent you several requests to transfer it back to me so I can delete it. You repeatedly have refused to acknowledge my messages, and have also refused to delete it.
I have know requested that findagrave admin gets involved to resolve this issue.
Please don't ask me for any more transfers in the future. Your lack of cooperation has resulted in much more time of mine being spent, checking back to check...

|lchenoweth||Harry Wood Chenoweth Info|
Beth Mullins has referenced Harry Wood Chenoweth Find A Grave #1223622839 on The Chenoweth Family Site about him and some friends attending the 1936 Olympics in Germany, as follows below. Is this something you could add to his Find-A-Grave memorial?
"In the summer of 1936, 12 boys from Richmond saw the 1936 Olympics in Germany. They watched Jesse Owens run. They saw Hitler. The twelve were; David Porterfield, John E Crane, William Reller, CArl Kleinknecht, Harry Chenoweth, James Romey,and Julian Vigran. Not pictured were Jim Lemon, Tom Long, and Bill Heet (not in order)"

|Charles Temple||Cecil Leadona Lavita Chenoweth|
Hi Jon -
I made a mistake in the request I sent you in January. My grandmother Cecil Chenoweth was Edwin Wilson Chenoweth's daughter, and not the child of Thomas H. Would still like to have her added to Edwin's findagrave memorial.
