I am 57 years old and have been doing family history for about 14 years now. I have found out so much about my ancestors that I feel like I know some of them. It is an unreal feeling! I only regret that I didn't start doing this when my parents were alive! They would have been amazed at the relatives we have and never knew it! My advice to everyone: Ask questions now. If you don't it may never be known! Look up your history! You may find things that you never knew! Just remember, if you don't find it out today, it may be lost forever tomorrow!!! Some families know so little about their history because they don't ask and no one offers. Believe me it is hard when nothing is known to get you started!
Some of our family names are: Holliday/Holaday/Holladay/Holiday, Lowery, Wardlow, Bryant, Moore, Abner, Henry, Bizzell, Latham, Nettles, West, Baskin, Clements, Owens and a 2nd set of Moore . On my husbands side are the names of; Bienvenu, Danahay, Crawford, Funk, Labbe', Barras, Broussard, Stiner and krohe. I would love to hear from anyone who may be related. I have a lot of info on most names and would welcome any info anyone may want to share. I try to post people photos and grave photos when I have them for each of my pages. You are welcome to copy any of them.

RE: Peter E Holliday
Hi Anita,

I have parents for Peter Elbert Holliday as:
William Henry Holliday
born 1819 in Williamson, Williamson Co., TN
died 7 Jan 1859 in Pike City, Pike Co., AR
Francis Marbonny
born 1822 in Tennessee
died about 1888 in Howard Co., AR

I have for William's parents as:
Peter Holliday
born 1784 in Orange Co., NC
died 20 Jan 1846 in Pike City, Pike Co., AR
Lettisia Hartgrave
born 1795
died 1842

I don't have any information back any farther. Actually the Holliday line is mine through adoption and never searched any farther. I hope this helps.

RE: Dr. Alexander Henry Haliday
I'll be happy to transfer him. Would you like me to also transfer his nephew William who is listed on the same stone?

RE: William Holliday
Hi! Thanks for your message. My family tree is a bit tangled currently, lol. Proof after so many generations is so difficult to find.

I have more than one William Holliday. Which birth/death year are you inquiring? I have gotten some information that may have been incorrect.

This is the info that I know to be correct:

Maternal grandmother - Marie Frances Holliday Beard (1917-1946)
Great grandfather - Andrew Jackson Holliday (1872-1955)
GG grandfather - John F. Holliday (1827-1900)

I believe the father of John F to be Henry Holliday but a lot of the "proof" at that point and before is sketchy at best. I hope something there is helpful to you.

RE: Hattie Bizzell...PS
Some Abney/Abner family members believe Hattie's husband James Abner/Abney was the son of Elisah Abner/Abney. Find A Grave# 140919912.

RE: Hattie Bizzell
send me an email note to

Most of my Abner information came from Steve Abner who lives in Michigan, plus, what I could match up via the internet(and as you know is not always accurate). We added his Kentucky Abner Family Cemetery that was not even listed on findagrave.

RE: Wrights
I will consider transferring the memorials, but I don't have the memorial #'s nor the relationship. As per my bio - please send the request the correct way - through the "edit" tab. Thanks.
