Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was raised in Perryville, Missouri and graduated from St, Vincent High School in 1961.

My genealogical interest is Perry County, Missouri residents in general. No specific family. I have photos of about 75% of the tombstones in Perry County and that is a project that is currently a work in progress. I am posting them to Find A Grave as time allows but have just started doing this in earnest in April 2009.

I have high resolution photos of all of the graves I have posted and will be happy to share.

Look out for me on Yahoo Instant Messenger. hweiss02. I am eager to chat.

Hi, I have been doing my family tree and noticed that you have Memorials of some of my family. I was just wondering if you had seen a Lawrence Weber buried out there. I can't find him on Find A Grave but Missouri Death Certificate indicates that is where he is buried. Just wondered if you had seen the grave?

RE: Theodore Sachse
Thanks for the information on Theodore Sachse, he is definitely the one that I am looking for. Did Highway 61 used to be Highway 25? That narrows down a lot where he is located, though it doesn't appear his burial is in FindAGrave, yet.

Thanks a lot, really appreciate this information.

Theodore Sachse
Hi Henry, I notice that you have 'wife of Theodore' on Victoria Sachse page. Do you know where Theodore is buried? He served in the 5th and 12th MSM, and I'm trying to locate as many of those soldiers as possible.

Noticed you had a wonderful picture of Barney Kohlfeld - love those old pictures - and thought you might like to know I have located his son who was also Barney Kohlfeld. He and his wife are buried at St. Mary's Cemetery here in Cape and I have linked him to his parents. I am presently row walking that cemetery and have almost finished - just 4 rows to go. It is a beautiful one and very well kept. Ruth Smith

RE: Henry Verschelden - again
The records are confusing. I was thinking perhaps a father and son, but can't find a second Henry Verschelden in other census records. Records seem to show a Private and Corporal/Sergeant. The marker you have shows him in the Fifth, so that is the only certainty we have.

I modified the note at the Illinois Henry Verschelden, to note the confusing documentation.

RE: Rosemary Bernadette Richardson
How do I add this name to Mary Elizabeth Taylor Tucker's information? Grave memorial #47073758. Rosemary is a daughter to Mary Elizabeth.

Mr. Weiss, My Layton family were of Perry county many years ago. Naturally they were related to a ton or so of the Perry Countians from early times. My husband and I will be visiting Perryville May 2-4 and would like get advice from you about updating stones, etc. My great-grandparents, Laurence Layton and Emily Elizabeth Young, were married 1873 at Allens Landing. They moved to Washington state by the 1910 census. Please let me know if we can spend some time with you and learn some 'stuff'. Thank you, Claire Bardwell - e-mail is

Thanks for the edits for his memorial page. Always glad to correct things. Do you by any chance know what his wife's actual name was? Dale doesn't seem correct though the newspaper had that. Ruth
