I want to say that I have never nor would I ever put anything on any headstone to bring out the information for a picture or even to read it better, if any of my pictures have "chalk or are blackened" it was not done by me. I would never deface something that is one of the very passions of my life. Please send any info you would like placed on a memorial and I will gladly put it on for you.
