Harris Tranum and Christina Romine
Hi Janet, Would you have any information on Harris Tranum who married Christina Romine in Harrison County, Indiana in 1827? My ancestor was Christina's brother, Zachariah Romine, who lived most of his adult life in Green and Taylor County, Kentucky. Harris Tranum, according to the 1830 Harrison County, Indiana census was born between 1801 and 1810, so I suspect he may have been a brother of John F. Tranum. They had a son, George L. Tranum, who served in the Mexican War. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thank you for your time,
Steve Wright

I would be happy to send you a copy of Elisabeth's picture. It is from the tintype you saw. I had an enlargement of Elisabeth done from it. She died in 1867 and it is apparently the only picture ever taken of her. My address is 4110 Winter in Las Cruces NM. Let me know your email and I will send you a jpg.

RE: Alfie McGee headstone

I went back and read the headstone for Alfie. You were correct; I had read it wrong. In my defense, it's very faint and hard to see, but I should have looked more closely. It says

"Sacred to the memory of Alfie P. beloved wife of J.H. McGee. Born Oct. 6 1864 Died July 7 1890 Aged 25 years 9 mos and 1 day Requiesce in pace." There are carved ferns and cattails all around the 4 sides of the headstone; it's very pretty.

Edmond Harris Sanders
Hi, Janet,
I researched the Smyrna Church minutes and found that E. H. Sanders and his wife Nancy joined the church on May 20, 1876 rather than 1873. Could you make this date change in his bio? Thanks. Here's the link:

A. F. Kirbie, Highland Cemetery, Lawton, OK
Janet, thank you for the edit information for A. F. Kirbie, #65061021. I am not related to this family but was recently checking burials in the section where he is. I have updated his page with the location of Block 9, North half of Lot 2. Ruby Sitzer or Setzer is also buried in the North half of Lot 2, Block 9. She was age 19 and born in Texas. She does not have a grave marker. Do you know if Ruby is connected to the Kirbie family?

RE: William Carroll Hughes
You are very welcome. I wasn't sure at first if it was the right one. The middle name is different and the dates are different but the wife was the same. If you find it is incorrect please let me know and I'll delete the photo. Thanks.
