It is not my intention to be mean but there have been a couple people who felt that taking my photos and re-posting them on their Ancestry.com Family Tree without asking me is ok. It is NOT ok. It is in direct violation of Find-a-Grave copyrights

Some of you feel it necessary to tell me I have not the right to hold copyright laws to prevent you from taking my photos. To help you with your lack of information, I do have the right. Each memorial I put a copyright notice on are photos that I either photographed myself (where obvious dates are in my life time) or I inherited them in a family will. So ... YES ... I have copyright laws on my side. My suggestion to all those who feel it necessary to dictate to others of their rights, you better make sure you are not making a fool of yourself. If you can not prove a person does not have the copyrights then do not say anything at all.

-If you see any information that is incorrect please email me with the correct information, how you got that information (why you feel yours is correct) and present me with a link to where you got the correct information or a scanned image of the documentation that has the correct information and I will be more than happy to make the necessary changes.

-There are some memorials I put up, when fulfilling photo requests, of other tombstones of family groups, that are not my family. If they are your family members please follow the rules of Find-a-Grave in asking for a transfer and I will be glad to transfer them to you. I will not transfer my family memorials unless I can see that you are closer to them than I am and that you have more information and photos you would like to add. I will need to see your linage as proof.

-I thank all of you who work at finding tombstones for our requests and just to get the names on Find-a-Grave for others who are looking, to find their ancestors. Keep up the good work!!
