Bio

I have been tracing my roots for years and lucky for me almost all are buried in Fannin County.

I have traced my maternal grandmother Jewel B. Henry Dillard's line back to William Henry, Sr who was born in 1715 in Ireland and died in York County, South Carolina. Three of his sons fought in the Revolutionary War. They were involved in winning the "Battle of Kings Mountain", which was near their home.

I have traced my paternal grandmother Nellie Woffork Dillard Abercrombie's line through her father Richard Worfolk to Thomas Worfolk born in Yorkshire, England and her mother's line back to Hansom Farmer born in Virgina and buried in The Farmer Cemetery in Fannin County, Georgia.

My lines include: Abercrombie, Allison, Arp, Bailey, Baugh, Byers, Davis, Dickey, Dillard, Fain, Falls, Farmer, Gibbs, Heaton, Henry, Key, Kilpatrick, Love, Painter/Panter, Pittman, Prewitt/Pruett/Pruitt, Sidgwick, Shuler, Roberson/Robertson/Robinson, Rogers, Ross, Vaugham, Webb, and Worfolk/Woffork/Wolford.

My husbandd's lines include: Brumbelow, Garrett, Harcourt, Hughes, Long, Mashburn, Panter/Painter, Parker, Stroud, Swaney, Tipton,Turner, and Willoughby.

I love it when I find the stories and pictures that goes with the name. Nothing is more thrilling than when you make new discoveries from your past. Genealogy and I have a love and hate relationship that has become an addiction.
