Dear Linda

I submitted some edits for Guy Finney at Forest Hill in utica - link to Mabel, his wife.

Can you please "accept" this edit so the link will be in Guy's Find A Grave site?

Thank you,

Gabriel Kreber

I am writing you today regarding your connection, if at all, to Gabriel Kreber. He was born in Alsace Lorraine. I believe he is related to my great grandmother, Anne Marie Kreber-Fridlin.

Is is possible for you to get back to me? Anne Marie was born in Mulhouse, Alsace was my grandfather, Julius Fridlin in 1869. I am receiving word from other Krebers living in this country on Ancestry, thru DNA, that I am related to them.

So you have a connection to the Kreber family? My great grandmother was Anne Marie Kreber who married Julius Fridlin in Mulhouse, Alsace Lorraine....which rotates back and forth in ownership between France and Germany.

I did find a record of Gabriel Kreber in France...

Please help. In the meantime, you could transfer to me if you are not family.

Una Tillis
I did find Una Tillis' headstone next to James but it appears she is still alive (or buried elsewhere). I don't usually photograph headstones under these circumstances. Sorry.

RE: McMURTRIE, Mary Ellen
I have bad news. I dont think your Mary Ellen photo is correct. The tomb stone is in Chinese, so unless she is Chinese I think I made an error. I was going by the information received from on Mountain View Cemetery.

Forest Hill Cemetery - Utica - FAG request
You have a request in F A G for a photo of a grave. The memorial site does not include the Plot and/or Lot numbers which would help easily find the graves you want photographed.

If you will call or email the Forest Hill Cemetery and ask for Plot and Lot information, I would be glad to go there and take the photographs for you.

The office number is 315-735-2701 and their email is

Once you have the information, please add it to the person’s F A G memorial site and mark it with a “Photo Request” or email me the burial information at

Please note: If the gravestone is covered in lichen or moss I will attempt to clean them with water and soft soap solution, except for older slate and limestone gravestones. I do not use shaving cream, chalk or abrasives.

GPS Coordinate update: Also note, I routinely update the GPS coordinates on the individual’s F A G memorial to those of the specific gravesite instead of the cemetery. Please let me know if you do NOT want this updated.

Best regards,

Alfred Glover & Forest Home Cemetery
Hi! Are you sure that he is buried at Forest Home Cemetery? I checked the list of burials at Forest Home (and Waldheim German Cemetery) for February and March 1903, and I did not find his name listed.

The Cook County, Illinois Deaths Index shows the following.

Name: Alfred Glover
Birth Date: abt 1867
Birth Place: Michigan
Death Date: 26 Feb 1903
Death Place: Chicago, Cook, Illinois
Burial Date: Feb 1903
Burial Place: Chicago, Cook, Illinois
Cemetery Name: Mt Hope

I hope you will contact Mt. Hope Cemetery and find out if he is actually buried there.
