I have been doing family history work since the early 1990s. My dad began researching his paternal family in the early 1950s while stationed in the Far East. His maternal family remained in the community where he grew up in the Boston area. I have recently been working on linking all the 'Find-A-Grave' memorials for my extended family tree members together to prepare a virtual family tree.
