Been into genealogy since about 2000. Love cemeteries and am an occasional RV traveler.|
I am a "no-dispositions-unknown" contributor. This means that not only will I not create Burials Unknown (except as permitted), I will not link memorials to BUs.
Concentrating my efforts now to Cowlitz and Lewis Counties. Currently (2010-2014) working on Winlock Cemetery, Winlock, WA: trying to decipher my last 100 photos of deteriorating stones. Little Falls Cemetery & Vader Catholic Cemetery, Vader, WA are done!!(9/2010)
2014: Continuing row-mowing work at Whittle&Hubbard Cemetery, Castle Rock, WA.
Also inputting cemetery records in IOWA from transcriptions published by members of the IA Genealogical Society.
From the Find A Grave FAQ's: "The copyright of all photos posted to Find A Grave remains with the original submitter. No use of photos for any other website or personal use is given without prior consent of the original submitter."
[NOTE: With attribution, MY photos may be used for your personal, not-for-profit use. Please enjoy them!]
Another note: I will gladly transfer memorials *within* the FindAGrave guidelines (see FAQs) only. I will be happy to add links and bio info for any memorial I manage (please use the 'Edit' tab and the 'Suggest-A-Correction SAC' feature); the recent spate of deletions, dupes, and widespread name-collecting of persons trying to build their family tree on this site is a misuse of the site's original intent.

|Jan Dahlquist||Lloyd Ray Blanchard|
hace sent edits for his father and mother; his mother remarried Fred C Blanchard and I assume Fred adopted Lloyd, thus the name change.
just found confirmation that she was Gertrude Margaret Drake- sending updates
|Jan Dahlquist||Gertrude Waranka|
oops, mother was Ethel Maud Jennings
|Jan Dahlquist||Gertrude M Waranka memorial|
I am looking for a Gertrude M. nee Drake born September 2,1909 in Lewis County, Washington, daughter of Norman Drake and Ethel nee Homan, had at least three known husbands, 1st Max R Pollard, 2nd Marshall Ray Phillips, 3rd Fred C. Blanchard- she did not die under any of those names. She was living with 3rd husband Fred C Blanchard in Cowlitz County, WA in 1940. I find no marriage records at all for George Waranka and a Gertrude. Are you aware of any local resources for an obituary for Gertrude, or any other records?
Thanks for any help

I am the inexperienced volunteer that was unable to fulfill your photo requests. I am out there taking photos weekly and would be glad to try again. Maybe if you would try giving the office a call, you might have better luck. When I called the office, I was put on hold for a long while. They came back and double checked spelling of last name and I held for a while again. They stated they cannot find any record of them being buried there. Of course, that could be totally wrong. Maybe put the plot in the memorial and I will go again.

Regarding the burial site of this entry (#82491311), I visited the cemetery in December of 2011, recorded the info (even marker inscription). Not sure why the cemetery office "states" they are not buried there. Is it possible that I have the couple in the wrong cemetery? Yes, but very unlikely...because I usually work just one cemetery in a day. Perhaps you can find an obit. Questions? You might wish to email me. Thank you.
