Bio and Links
Bio Photo Native to Zanesville, OH, I am the son of the late Dale Denver Darst and Peggy Eileen Lewis and have resided at Dallas, TX since April of 1983. I graduated from The Ohio State University in March of 1982, with a B.S. in Education.

[Derst Message Board / Gravel Hill Cemetery]

My passion for family history started the day I visited The Alamo at San Antonio back in early 1984; witness to a painted portrait of Jacob Calloway Darst, whom I later realized was a first cousin (5 generations removed).

I was just wondering if you are kin to the Braleys? My husband is Jack Braley. Clifford S Braley is his great grandfather. Hope to hear from you.

Augusta Ann Pearl Darst
Hi Robert,

It looks like I am probably a KY cousin of yours. I am one of the many grandchildren of Ann. I was hoping that you could maybe provide me with some information on her parents. I knew her mother was Susan, but did not know her father was William until I saw your memorial page for her. The story is that she did not speak a lot about her parents, especially her father. Just hoping you could give me a little more info.

Memorial # 134088687 for Dee M Kilde is the same as # 42265638 for Dee Maurine Darst Kilde. Can they be merged?
Thank you!

Tormey Jenkins & Erma Lee (Hundley) Jenkins
Robert V. Darst,
Thank You for the transfer of your memorials for Aunt Erma Lee (Hundley) Jenkins and Tormey Jenkins.

I also thank you for the creation of their memorials because it instantly gave me a home for sharing the family photos that I am in the process of unearthing and sharing.

Again, thank you.

Thank you so much Robert for taking the time to add a copy of Claudia "Marciel" Darst's Birth and Death Certificate to her memorial. We did not have this documentation relating to my father's sister and really appreciate having this information to share with my sisters and brother. Thanks Again. David A. Darst

Tormey JenkinsFind A Grave Memorial# 43357725
Dear Robert V. Darst,
Regarding Tormey Jenkins, please add in his bio that he served in the navy during WWI operating a
lifting crane that loaded and unloaded ships in a port in France.

Robert, please note that Tormey and wife Katharine named their first son and my uncle, Thomas Darst.
I do not know the reason for Uncle Tommy's middle name.

I am purchasing from Findagrave additional photo privileges in order to add the State Fair win photo.

Thank You for sharing The Alamo event in your life.

He was married twice. Can you assign each of his five children to each wife?
