I work for the Bates County Family History Center as a Research Assistant. Most of the work we do is extract data from newspapers and microfilm. I have been doing Genealogy for several years and got hooked. We are working on the Bates County Cemetery Project where we are doing the census and taking pictures of the cemeteries in Bates County, Missouri. We are in the process of putting information on the internet for free access to all.
