My family history journey began over 45 years ago. Both of my grandfathers died when my parents were young. I knew my great grandmother, and carried her maiden name, but knew very little about her or my other ancestors. If I knew little about my grandparents and great grandparents, what would by grandchildren know about me? How could I recall and preserve the memory of my family? How could I help others too?

In addition to my own family (including their military regiments), I have focused on my home community of Hood River, Oregon, and the area in Idaho where I have lived for the past 40 years. This includes the cemetery records in Find a Grave.

I would be glad to add any links or bios, and am happy to transfer management of memorials to relatives. My headstone photos may be used without requesting permission.

I am also on the New Sweden Cemetery Maintenance District Board of Directors. I am trying to keep burials updated for the New Sweden Cemetery, with some delay to consider the person's family.
