Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Omaha Nebraska in 1940, and relocated to Monterey California in 1959 with the U. S Navy where I still live today. In 1962 I married Carolyn of Monterey, a seven generation native Californian, and we have two daughters. I retired from a local utility company in 1993, and operated my own business from 1994 till retirement at the end of 2010. I have been pursuing both mine and my wife's ancestors for the past 20 years. In that time I have located over 20,00family members to which we are related. I currently do volunteer genealogy research in CA & OH counties.

I am happy to transfer memorials, no matter how distant, other than my own family (unless you have a closer relationship).

Hi Gary--I have added photos for John and an edit. Thought you would like to know.
Do you have access to Solano County and/or Vallejo records? I have a couple of ancestors from there and can't seem to find out much. Thanks for your work. Peggy

Just curious -- is your spelling for Fred correct? unusual...

Then why are they on the same stone, with the same plot location, appearing in the same Census record, with their son buried in the same cemetery and not too far away? He most certainly was married to Luella (his obit on the Greater Omaha Genealogy website, which is a shortened one, shows him married to Luella, not to mention Luella's own obituary), but while it may have been her first marriage, it would have been his second. She married a widower.

RE: Anna Stagnaro
My dad met Malio in WWII in the Navy and brought his Mom (Sofia) and sisters (Anne, Elda and Janet) to Santa Cruz. My family spent time every summer visiting my cousins and have fond memories of Santa Cruz. We lived in Ventura. I've raised my family, and still live in Vancouver WA.

I've been working on family heritage for quite a while but just found findagrave.com last fall. I'm glad others have been there before me.
