Bio

My primary objectives are to find and document the lives of the Wm M.A. & Mary P (BOWDEN) Simmons family tree, and the greater James Frederick & Mary (ELSTON) Bowden family tree, ie, the Bowden, Simmons, Holt and Klepper families of northern California. My great-great grandparents include Tillman & Sarah (WILCOXSON) Simmons and James Frederick & Mary (ELSTON) Bowden.
My goal for every memorial I maintain is to provide a picture of the person and provide a picture of the headstone - cleaned of moss, leaves, grass, etc; the sun is shinning on the headstone face; a newspaper obituary and or additional facts of the person's life; and the memorial linked to the memorials of the deceased's parents, siblings, spouse and children. I welcome any additions, family links, and corrections, especially from anyone who posts a photo of the person memorialized!
If adding a picture, pls don't post a picture of a headstone, unless at the time you take the picture: the sun was shinning on the face of the headstone - making it much more readable, you had cleaned the headstone (rubbed moss off, cleared away leaves, pine needles, weeds, etc) and placed flowers next to the headstone for the picture. I make mistakes. If I've included information or a picture in a memorial which you disagree with, please let me know. If I maintain a memorial of a family member, no matter how distant, please request a transfer.

Below I repeat PMS Sillix's profile comment (borrowed from Anne Rupert's Bio): "Lastly... to all who remind us the primary purpose of Find a Grave is "GRAVE REGISTRATION", and then recite in your bio the FaG rules... yes we get it!... but it is a mere starting point; as we work together, share, and seek to know more about the folks, what they looked like and where they lived as we register their graves. We will go to great lengths to find out more!... to sum this up they are not just a name on a stone! A Birth Certificate, media or family history, will tell that a person was BORN ... A Death Certificate, a memorial, or family history, will tell that he or she have DIED ... but a picture, a story, an obituary and or memorialization via FindAGrave, will tell you what is most important, which is, that they have LIVED.
