Oliver and Lucretia Root
Oliver and Lucretia are in Henry Co. IL by 1850 census, but are in the 1856 Iowas state census. Then back in Henry Co. IL by 1860. A cousin did a very large Root family history 10 yrs ago and I will check to see if your line is in it.

Oliver and :Lucretia Root of Henry Co. IL
Hello- I just sent an edit request to you for Lucretia Root; to add her husband's memorial Oliver Root as a spouse (he is listed on the headstone for his daughter, son-in-law, and grandson). I note your last name is Root - are you a descendant of Oliver and Lucretia? I am a descendant of Oliver's brother William Root, who remained in Washington Co., Ohio. Send me an email if you have more information on Oliver, or brother Jonathan Root of Missouri. Thanks!

Alden Clark McCaw #85765471
I have found a grave marker for Alden C McCaw (1871-1955) and one for his wife, Grace (1872-1949), as well as a monument, in the Keithsburg Greenmound Cemetery. Your Find A Grave memorial shows him buried in the McPherren Cemetery in Aledo. There also is an outstanding photo request for him at McPherren. I have the photos, but don't know how to proceed. Do you want to change the burial location on your memorial? Then I can add the photos. Thanks! James Clark

transferring relatives..con't
all the links i try just keep taking me around in circles!..so they are no help..can never get in touch with anybody that can handle this,is very aggravating..i know how to add memorials, transfer them, add pics, etc., but you really need someone on hand that can handle these situations.I love doing this and is a shame that the links just repeatly take you in circles and you can't get any help, sure takes the interest out of doing this but am sooo hoping somebody knows how to do this because I sure have never made any headway on this one!

Jacob Brown/Alexander Crawford Brown
Alexander Crawford Brown is my 5th great grandfather. I hadn't heard before that he had a twin brother, Jacob. I read years ago in a revolutionary war record book that Alexander Crawford Brown was born in Scotland in 1755. Sorry I don't have the book's name. His pension application papers is Pension #S 42634. His son, Joseph, was assigned to manage the estate. (Source; Holmes County Ohio Court of Common Pleas, Book I, page 70.)
Alexander C. lived on his son's farm when he applied for a pension in May 1818. So I think he probably died in Holmes County, OH. But THANK YOU for adding a memorial for him on Find A Grave. Now if Joseph Brown's burial is found or posted, I can connect my Brown line all the back to Alexander. My line is Alexander Crawford, Joseph Brown, Joab G. Brown, Obadiah S. Brown, Auron Brown, then myself, Louise Brown White. Thanks, Louise

Alexander C Brown
On the memorial you created, What dose the Ltc
preceding his name stand for? The records I have
seen list his service as a private.
John,
