|KY Kids||RE: Tuttle Cemetery|
Was Quail hunting several years ago when I found the edge of the cemetery. There was a stone wall around several of the graves. At the time was not sure of the boundaries of the cemetery. Started photo documentation of the headstones we could see and found the memorials were listed in a close by cemetery (Tuttles Chapel Cemetery). Documented the cemetery and moved the memorials from Tuttles Chapel. As we toured the cemetery we keep finding headstones under piles of brush and downed trees. Contacted an Eagle Scout Candidate to initiate a cleanup project. A Scout troop started clearing brush and removing debris. Amazing how the boys and some parents got so involved every time a headstone was found. Eagle Scout is in the process of cleaning and restoring the broken headstones.
