RE: Aaron Squires Memorial #25875819
No, I don't see your e-mail address. If you are willing to send me an e-mail, I'd really like for you to see this picture.

RE: Aaron Squires Memorial #25875819
Thank you for getting back to me and solving that mystery. What you say about the stone makes perfect sense. Why didn't I think of that? I have a picture of Edith and an older gentleman, and I think it may have been on their wedding day.... they are both wearing flowers. If I can find your e-mail address on Find A Grave, I'll send it to you and if you know what Aaron looked like, maybe you can confirm that for me, too.

Aaron Squires Memorial #25875819
Do you know if this is the Aaron Squires who was married to Edith Estella Taylor? She also had the married names of Johnson, Rogers, and Hazell. She passed away in Kalamazoo in 1983. The only thing I know is that it says that she was the wife of Aaron Squires on her gravestone, but has her last name as Hazell.
Thank you,
Lenny Magers

Blowers Family
Are you related to the Blowers family? They were home builders in Emmet Co Michigan and my family still owned a stone home they built around 1920.

RE: Sarah Loucks Robbins
My Husband is. She is his Great Great Great Great Grandmother, through Helen Jane Draper. I admit, I've been bitten by the genealogy bug :) All the stories and hints at stories are so fascinating! I want to have stories from my husbands side to tell our son as well as from my own. So when I found your memorial it was a treasure trove of information. I'd love to know some of your other sources. Is there anyway to find out who else is in the picture with Sarah? I was hoping one of the others was Helen Jane.

Squires @ W. Brattleboro/Mather, VT
Joyce-I'm thinking you my be a relative of Nellie & Henry. I tried the new transcription of the photo's I took, thinking F.a.G.would match with the existing record. So far, that hasn't happened. The site created an additional memorial for them. I just wanted to let you know, there is now more info./dates & photos regarding them.

RE: Martha (Smith) Squires
Thanks Joyce! I appreciate your candid response. I, too, am skeptical of her Indian heritage. I hope to take one of the ancestry DNA tests someday which may reveal any Native American ancestry. I would only be about 3-4% Native American, however, if Martha was 100% Native American. That percentage is a bit low - not sure if that would fall under the margin of error for these tests. A generation or two earlier (closer to Martha) than I am would have a higher percentage and greater chance of revealing that supposed Native American ancestry or not.

Thanks again for the response! Much appreciated!
