Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi, I have been doing genealogy for over 35 years and have been a volunteer for Parker, Wise, Tarrant and Jack Counties of many years. I am working with the Springtown-Goshen Cemetery Association to make a registry of their cemetery. I am currently transcribing the Springtown and Goshen Cemeteries in Parker County with all photos from the cemetery. I also have photos from several other cemeteries in the Parker County area, Turner, Opal, and Central. I also have photos from Jack County and Wise.

Sarah Ellen Garrison 1838-1867
Find A Grave# 43196611 Wife #2 of Isaac Jefferson Brisco... Goshen - memorial by you 17 Oct 2009. Killed by Indians. Thank you. His first wife and most kids were still in Arkansas till 1910 at least. Marriage to Isaac "Jeff" was 10 Jun 1867 Jack Co,Tx so its unlikely they had kids if they were killed in 1867.? Is there any obit or record or news giving more info like kids names-parants of Sarah or exact date of this massacre? Other folks massacred McKinney same area. Know of any books with storries that are available? Wild back then, huh? Thx

Could you add the photo of the double headstone from James Edsel Newsom's memorial (171618850) to his wife's memorial?

Thanks in advance, Joe

Hi Helen,
Would it be possible for me to take over the management of my aunt & uncle's memorials? They are Ray Harold Bates (# 53865570) & Martha Ann Stone Bates (# 53865543). That way I can link them to other family members & update info accordingly. Thank you for creating this memorial. Also, any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Maggie Rector
Hi Helen,
I really appreciate you getting the picture for me.
It looks like it is marked

Daughter of
NB. ?? Rector
Born Aug 14 188
Died Feb 11 18

I think this headstone is for Myrtle Rector, 67270405, not Maggie. Maggie would be her mother, Nathan would be her father.

If you think this is for Myrtle would you mind moving the picture to her page, 67270405.

Do you know if anyone has records of the burials in Veal Station? Maggie should be there. She died after the 1920 Census. I couldn't find a death certificate for her or Nathan. He died 1926. They are both on the Parker County Cemeteries website. I think the birth date for Maggie is incorrect. She was born 1864.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
