Bio

Hi There,
I hail from Sacramento,Ca born on November 4, 1944.Most of my family was born in Sacramento and El Dorado county in California.I'm the mother of four awesome daughters,Laura Thorn,Kimberly Thorn Eubanks,Stacy Thorn Hape,Lisa Lucas Jackson.
I have ten wonderful grand children and two great- grand children Beau and Emmy.
I have lived in Oregon since 1969 and plan to die in this beautiful state in which I fell in love with at the tender age of twenty-four years old.
I'm bless with my life mate "Kenny"in short I call him Mr Wonderful.
This awesome human being has been strong as an old oak tree in all seasons.
He has held my hand when my daughter Laura passed away at age 43 years old of a heart attack in 2004.
He has held my hand when our grandson "Rodney" was born and smiled at me through tears of joy.
He has held my hand through every thing life has throw at me the pass 13 years.I'm very blessed in this life to have such a very good man.
My mother was gave away by her mother as a infant to her grand mother in 1922.
Mother never knew much about her family roots and she has never set eyes on her birth father.
I begin to trace her family roots about five years before she passed away on August 25,2003.
I could tell her a few things but with so much to learn and so little time mother slipped away on a warm summer day knowing so little about her roots on this earth.
Since her death I have went on with the research I begun for her when she was alive.
The Collins roots run deep in Georgetown,California in El Dorado county.
Mothers great-great grand parents where Jeremiah and Dove Collins. Her grand parents was Jeremiah and Florence Collins.
I'm so very thankful to a man name Thomas whom I meet at this very site.
Thomas took a photo of a grave site in El Dorado county while he was visiting in that area.
He then placed the photo on this site this became my first blessing at this wonderful site.
But,Thomas had more blessings for me,he send to me a long list of records containing bits and pieces of the Collins history in El Dorado county dating from around 1850-1920.
I thank God for good people that do these deeds of kindness it is truly priceless work.
I'm very happy to join these good people and can't wait until I place my first photo at find a grave.
I know just how much happiness and joy it will bring to the hearts of family members wishing for a photo of their loved ones resting place.

I hope that you enjoy this site it contains a wealth of information that money could never buy.
I would like to say thank you to the people that begun this work.

Best Regards,
Jo-Ann D. Hughart (Wulf)
