Graduate of RPI (B.Aero.E.) and Stony Brook Univ (MS). Served in USAF 1965-69. Currently employed as engineer with Northrop Grumman Corp. Author of "Boats by Purdy" (2003), a history of grandfather's boat company. Active in nautical history, church, and community music programs. Married to Susannah Loudon Hanson, RN (born 18 June 1942). One son- James Francis Dinn.
