Rudolf Karrberg (1872-1942) was married to a sister of my grandmother. He left Sweden, still married but no kids, 1907 and he never contacted his wife or other family members. He was declared dead by the authorites 1927,and his former wife in Sweden could be married a second time. I now realize that he was a bigamist and started a new family in U.S - still having a wife in Sweden.

While doing research on Bloomfield I came across the Memorial. There is an error. Bloomfield is attached to Charles and Lillian as their son. This is incorrect as Bloomfield is the father of Charles W and husband of Mary Gant . Charles and Lillian had a son Charles Bloomfield who was born in 1904 and died in 1964. Bloomfield was born about 1858 and died in Feb 1942...
88044889 Antonio Chioloni's name is wrong and was wrong in the paper. The last name is Chidonie. I checked with the office and we looked for and Chioloni in Woodbine and there wasn't any. Did fine Antonio Chidonie and all the dates match. He is buried in Single Section 3 Row 2 Grave 25. Not sure how you want to handle this. Thayne

Thanks for your reply, Ruth.
I am surprised that Walling's (1823–1891) marker was not preserved over the years by some police-supporting civic group or the like as he was a prominent figure in his efforts to keep law and order for many years during the worst crime era of N.Y. city
He played a major role during the draft riots breaking up several large mobs in the Bowery and other nearby districts.
Do you think that the cemetery records would show what happened to the marker?
Do you have an email for contacting them?

What is the reason for not displaying the head stone for Capt. Walling ?
Just discovered...Beulah Cass. 99208952 is a duplicate record from 5010876
Don't know if that really matters but thought I would let you know...
