I was born and raised in Bedford Co. I have been researching my family for the past 10 years. I married Jay Lloyd Clapper from Morrison's Cove. My mother was Anna Belle Deremer and my father is Raymond James Nave. Other surnames that I am researching are Cessna, O'Neal, Sollenberger, Teeter, Amick, Campbell.|
I started my research in 1999 and I now have over 70,000 names from Bedford County in it.
My stonewall is my great-great-great-grandfather Christian Nave. I have not been able to find out much about him. I think he may have come from Morrison's Cove. Last source I have is the 1823 tax list for Cumberland Vally. I have been trying to find his burial location for the past 10 years with no success. His wife was Barbara Miller. Her burial location along with her son Nicholas is also a mystery.

In the page for Elery Amick children he and Mary had 10 children that lived..Ethel,Joanne, Shirley, Ron,Clarence Kenneth( who died at 6 months) Gladys, Ruth Anna,Elery Wilson,Paul, Maryjane,and Frederick...and two miscarriages in between...my mom Ethel,Ron,Ruth,Paul and Fred are the only 5 remaining kids..that's all I know about him
In your memorial for John Dermer 28184987 you have the surname spelled DERMER in the heading, however in the body of the memorial it is spelled DEREMER.
|Caroline||28184987 - John W Dermer - Duplicate|
Harriet, I am writing in regards to a duplicate memorial that you are the manager of #28184987 for John William Dermer. The original memorial was made on August 5, 2006 and supercedes the memorial you manage that was created on July 10, 2008. If you are family, I would suggest leaving a message on the original memorial (#15159472) managers page seeking to merge the memorials or a transfer and then deleting one so that there is not a duplicate floating around. Thank you. -Caroline

hi. i thought you might be interested in what i have found in my own research of my 2nd great grandfather George. i came across his PA death certificate which says he died the 15th of Oct. 1850 instead of september 1849.
---- Kelly Allison
Rather than ask me to delete my much earlier memorial, why don't you ask for them to be merged?

|cjHEBNER||Bennett Cemetery Confusion|
Several people have looked at your postings of photo and Bennett memorials on the Bennett Cemetery page. This is not the Bennett Farm Cemetery.
Would you consider removing the photo you posted and transferring the graves to the correct Cemetery. Namely from Bennett Cemetery to Bennett Farm Cemetery.
You can discuss and arrange the transfers and corrections with Mike Hahn and Gail Henry.
Thanks for your help.

I'm following up with you regarding the photo you posted on the Bennett Cemetery page. Note, this is NOT the Bennett Farm Cemetery. I have been in touch with Mike Hahn, who set up the Bennett Cemetery page on Find a Grave. He has confirmed in the below email that your photo is not of the Bennett Cemetery. If you have any questions, perhaps you can contact Mike directly. firstname.lastname@example.org
From Mike Hahn
I think I understand the problem. There is in fact two different cemeteries. What has caused the confusion is the look alike photo that was added to both cemeteries. The Bennett Cemetery I added sets on a hill surrounded at a white fence. One can see Artemas from the cemetery. We need to have the
photo removed of the fenced in cemetery that was attached to my Bennett Cemetery.

I am inquiring about the cemetery photo posted by you on the Bennett Cemetery (Artemas)homepage. Did you actually visit the cemetery in Artemas to take this photo? I am asking because it is very much like photos I have of the "Bennett Farm Cemetery" located on the former Alfred Bennett Farm on Route 326 between Chaneysville and Flintstone, near the Prosperity Church. My husband's family members are buried in the 1st row of the cemetery on Route 326, and the tombstones in your photo look the same as those. I hope you will pardon my asking, but the Southampton Historical Society on its website states that the Bennett Cemetery in Artemas and the Bennett Farm Cemetery on Route 326 on the former Alfred Bennett Farm are 2 separate cemeteries, and in addition there is another one - the Blues Gap Bennett Cemetery on Blues Gap Road.
