Bio and Links
Bio Photo A ninth generation American, I've always found cemeteries interesting, peaceful and relaxing. Please notify me if I've made a mistake on any memorials I post. No one is perfect, least of all me. I will not respond to rude and disrespectful demands. If I have a photo of a headstone that is better than the one already posted, I will post my photo. I do not post to "build my numbers". I will not revisit cemeteries and retake photos that have my shadow on them.
I am a Find a Grave volunteer because I enjoy visiting cemeteries recording the history of those who have gone before us so as to be of a benefit of those who cannot visit the cemeteries in person to pay their respects. Be nice.

Have a great day!

Re: FERGUS and SMITH listings

Would you be willing to transfer the following ancestors of mine, if they are not related to you?
James FERGUS # 77179915
John D. Smith # 77180247
Eliza A. Fergus Smith # 77180058

I want to thank you for contributing! I too am a contributor, # 77179915.

And, I want to apologize as I listed James FERGUS # 104345608 when you already had him listed. Apparently, I did not look at the FERGUS listings to see that you had listed him. I will eliminate my double listing, but you have information that I do not have about his port of entry. I had thought that I checked the New York listing, so I will look further to have my source correct.

Again, thanks a bunch!

Incorrect date
Just an FYI:

The entry for Peter Robinson in St George's chapel has an incorrect death month of May when it's actually June. It's clear on the picture of the stone. I'm trying to figure out if he was married to Maggie P Marvel. I assume so, but can't prove he was the Peter Robinson.

BTW If you're in Sussex and looking for a challenge. There's an overgrown cemetary in the middle of Chapel Green off Conley's Chapel road. The information is available here, but there aren't any pictures.

RE: Mary Davidson
Ron, you are very welcome. I know the stone has not been engraved with the date of Mary's death yet. I made a note and will check back this Spring when I plan on photographing that section. I will then change out the current photo to update her Memorial pg.
Think Spring!

Sarah McIlvain Hill

I just put in a couple of edits for Sarah's memorial. Sarah is my 5th great Aunt. I got the information for these edits from a genealogy The McIlvains, A Delaware Branch compiled by Donald Lee McIlvain, Jr and published in 1999. It gives her date/place of birth/death and her middle name.

Grandfather George Darlington
Hi Ronnie -
I ran across your post on 1804-1888 George Darlington's Bradford Friends site. Can you give me an overview of how the Tipton's and Darlington's connect?
Hope that all is well with you and Bill. Jean Swisher

Grover Byrd Cemetery
I am a descendant of Charlie and Emma Ann Gouge Barnett. I was wondering if you could tell me how to get to the cemetery and do I need permission before i go to it? If I need permission who would I need to talk to? Thank you and lookin forward to hearing from you.

RE: Viola Virginia (Raby) Meyers #145067703

Not sure what this is about. I wasn't doing any since last year in Delaware and my name is not on the persons listing.

Thanks, Sheila

Vianna Tipton
My great grandmother was Vain "Viannah" ? Tipton born about 1843
& died March 12, 1925 in Red Hill, NC. She married James Arrowood but had my grandmother Mary before she married by Garrett Street. She worked for him in his grocery story in Buleadean, NC. My Dad always said his granddad Garrett was as good to him as he was his own children and grandchildren by his wife Rebecca.
Because his mother Mary was born out of wedlock I have little information on Viann, or Garrett. I did find the grave of Garrett Street and have a picture of it. Do you recall when you recorded the information on Vain if she has a stone with a marker. I would love to have a picture of it since I have none of her as I do all my other grandparents. Do you have any idea where I could find a picture of Garrett Street. I found him buried in the Garland Cem. of the Presbyterian church.
I am a professional storyteller and historian in my retired days and love the adventure of digging up my roots and the stories that come with them. No sure if you might be kin to this family or not but would love any stories you could share. I grew up listening to my grandfather Francis tell me stories about Toe Creek and Bad Creek, Nc.
