Hi, I started doing my genealogy for the Solem family and love it. I have found ancestors in Norway back to 1506 and living relatives in Norway. This is a great way to find where you came from and also find descendants. I live on the original Solem farm which we are getting our 125th certificate. Need help email me.|

|Anonymous||Brule vs Spink|
Me again Kathie,
Sorry to be a pain, but this cemetery is in Brule Township, NOT Spink, as well.
|Anonymous||GPS Coordinates off|
The GPS coordinates for the "Brule Creek Cemetery, Spink, Union County, South Dakota, USA" are off by quite a bit and not helpful when trying to locate the cemetery. I do not know how to change them, but if you do and can, the correct coordinates are: 42.7942796,-96.7070223
Thanks for all you do,

Thank you so much for the information/history on the Roseni Church and Cemetery. I'm helping out another person, so will give her this information (it explains why we cannot find complete records for the church in the Ancestry ELCA files). I will give her your suggestion to contact Carla. Also, I think she could try to contact the State Archives and/or Register of Deeds. I see marriages go back to 1866, but death records only start at 1905 which does not help us. Again, thank you so much for your assistance.

Thank you for the quick update to Mathias' memorial: 59399268
This wife, Kjersten is a little bit of a mystery: 59399346
Mathias was married to Eli Olsdatter first, and another family member suspects she died either in childbirth in 1870 or shortly after. Kjersten shows up in the 1880 census, but SD records are hit and miss, so we cannot find a marriage record for her and Mathias. I was wondering if the cemetery records make any mentions of either of these women?
Thanks again, Jane

|cmarek||Edward Sasse Jr, # 139363678|
I fulfilled a request from someone else for photos of Edward Sasse's grave. I've added 4 pictures (there are close-ups of two of the plaques). Unfortunately, this takes the memorial to its photo limit of 5 images.
Let me know if you want me to delete anything.

I frequent the cemeteries often, so if I have a few minutes and notice the requests, I like to provide pictures. Glad I could help out.

May I use the photo that you contributed to the Find A Grave Memorial for Washburns? I am specifically trying to identify the last resting place of Isiah Washburn, a Civil War Veteran with ties to Vermont. I would like to post this on the Vt.C.W.site ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)
You will be credited for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

Thanks for the update! Much appreciated.
|cmarek||Joseph Howard O'Connor, # 139609412|
In response to your photo request, hubby and I went to St. Agnes Calvary cemetery in Vermillion, SD to look for Joseph O'Connor.
The cemetery has a sign with list of people buried there, along with plot numbers keyed to the map, which is also posted. We found two graves for men named Joseph O'Connor but neither headstone showed the dates you have in your Joseph's memorial.
There are a couple of possibilities:
1. St Agnes may not have updated the list. If you know the lot number, we could find it from the map and take the picture.
2. The list at the cemetery may have him listed as Howard O'Connor. The photo request list doesn't show middle names, so I didn't know to look for "Howard." If you think this might be the case, I can try again.

Kathy I am preparing to leave Findagrave, and would like you to look after my Pederson memorials from Garryowen church (my brother-in-law, Brad and his Mom), if you are willing....
