Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have one gripe for a few FG volunteers: I pay extreme attention to mistakes, duplicates, memorials in the wrong cemetery here in Bosque County. Those of you out there who refuse my request are not interested in keeping FG accurate - either you are in it for the numbers are just plain do not care! You tell me this by having NO way to contact you; or refuse to respond when you get a SAC. You know who you are and shame on you!

I am getting quite a few messages for simple name, spouse, date changes. PLEASE, PLEASE use the "new" edit offerings on each memorial under the edit tab. Saves us both time, and eliminates mistakes. And, always check the little box that gives you a copy of what you sent as an edit. Thanks.

Please, please always check to see if there are memorials already entered BEFORE you enter a new memorial. FG and we here in Bosque County do not like duplicates, and nearly always ask that the earliest memorial stand. PLEASE do not post death certificates! If there is a good reason to state an unusual death, send a notice and I will post it.

I am a native Central Texan, presently living in Bosque County and a past member of the Bosque County Historical Commission and a charter member of the BC Genealogical Society.

If you find a mistake, PLEASE let me know, and remember I am maintaining many memorials that were made by others and the mistakes may be theirs. Be nice when you ask for a change! I do not mind transferring if a memorial is a relative, OR if a memorial is in another county, but otherwise, I would prefer not to. However, I inherited many memorials from some retirees, and on other cemeteries, other than Bosque County, I would certainly transfer.

I just recently finished two genealogies for Poston and Birdwell. FindaGrave information has been priceless! Thanks to all who have contributed. Let me retract that word "finished." We will never be finished but there does come a time when we have to turn it over to someone else. :)

Memorial Updates
Hello Abby,

I wanted to thank you for making all the updates I have been submitting for the many findagrave memorials you manage. I know it is a lot of work, so I appreciate it. It's looking really good.

I wanted to let you know why I have been submitting so many updates. All the people I have been working on are descendants of Hendrik and Christine Dahl, our early Norwegian ancestors who emigrated to Central Texas in 1851. I am also a descendant of Hendrik and Christine Dahl. As you know, they are buried in the Norse cemetery.

I am trying to locate the burial locations for all of them if possible and link their memorials to the memorials for their deceased parents, spouses, children and siblings. After I complete my work, we intend to provide links to these findagrave memorials on the Hendrik and Christine Dahl family history website.

I am a seasoned genealogist. I am not professionally trained, but I have been doing it for more than 45 years, so I am very careful and do not submit any update requests unless I have found definitive documents to verify my updates.

There are more updates to come when I can find the time to get them done, so I wanted to let you know that too.

Thanks again for all your help.

Greetings - I'm wondering where you got the information that she's buried in the plot belonging to Larry Pattings Sr (her first husband)?

Could you add a link to him. Fannie is his mother. She was Frances Fannie Eudora Rippy (my great grandmother) and is buried in Sour Lake, Tx, Rosedale Cemetery beside her other son, William Elmer Noah Shoemaker. Their Find A Grave links are below. My grandmother was Era Andrew Shoemaker Coulter (links below) who is next to her husband Jesse Dee Coulter. Thank you

William L. Peters
Good Afternoon,
My name is Gena Jeselnik. I am working on the Fox family. Information that I have from a book: Eight Generations of the Family of Henry Fox and His Wife, Sarah Harrell Fox, states that W. Leroy Peters died in infancy. Other family members are buried in the same cemetery. I am thinking that birth and death may be the same date. I have updated name a parentage on the page.
Thanks

Dear Abby, (that's neat),

Sorry, enter sends, I'm a slow learner; I have a memorial for Alice Makerney # 44116089, in Liberty cemetery. Her obit shows A.B. Coker as a brother and wonder if you can verify Alf as being he. If so I could link her to her parents.
Thanks so much, Wayne Smith
