RE: Flounders
You're welcome, Bobbi! Very glad to help. The flag holder has "U.S. World War 1917-1918". However, I don't know who it applies to. Charles registered for WWI, but I haven't found any veteran's burial card for him, and there is no reference to military service in his obituary (just added). There is also a DAR flag holder for Marguerite which I removed for the photo and replaced when done. I put a photo in the flowers I added.

You're welcome Bobbi. Very glad to help. I'm not sure about the flag holder, but I'll check next time I'm there. All I can make out is "War".

My 7th Great Uncle- James Pegan Sr. and his wife, Sarah's stone. It appears that their gravestones have their children's names that died before their parents on them. Whenever is convenient for you is fine. I just appreciate your willingness to help me get more information about them! Thank you so much!!

Would you be willing to do an aluminum foil impression or an impression on paper using chalk, crayon? I really feel it is important to know what it actually says on the stones.

Thank you so much Bobbi! I went to the website and saw that there are 2 other Pegan's listed so they must be the names that are on the tombstones. Since you live so close would you be willing to maybe chalk and rub those 2 tombstones and photograph it so I have a copy that is legible? My sister and I just went on a family history trip to Tennessee and we did this to the stones that were unreadable and they turned out wonderfully. We could read everything on the stone.
Thank you so much!!

James Pegan Gravestone Photo Memorial# 150991995
James Pegan is my great uncle. I see that you created and attached a photo of his gravestone as well as his wife's gravestone on their memorial pages. It is hard to read the stones but it looks like there are other names with death dates on their stones- Possibly children of theirs that died before them. Can you make out what is written on their stones? Do you live near the Old Chestnut Level Presbyterian Cemetery in Lancaster, PA?

RE: Daniel Ulam
Sorry it took me so long to answer, computer problems. I have searched and searched and found next to nothing. Everything says after he returned from the RW he did this and that. There is a R W medallion at his burial place but I can't find anything else. He is listed as having served but it doesn't say where. Helen
