Bio

I have been working on my genealogy since 1990. ****One of my aunts was a licensed, accredited, certified genealogist. She studied under Milton Rubincam, President of the National Genealogical Society. She later discovered he was a distant cousin via our Rittenhouse connections, and Milton's son also contributed to my collection of family genealogy after Milton's death. I had relatives on both sides of my family give me all their collections of books and research, etc. In one case it was boxes of information. I am still typing.
I retired in 2002 and now I am typing all the time.

Life has it's ups and downs, sometimes happiness and sometimes sorrow, but we must not ever forget the people who have gone before us. Their trails were more difficult and their losses many, but with out their efforts and struggles, you and I wouldn't be here.

My family records are in a DOS format. I have, therefore, tried to provide some of the information to Find A Grave, so others can have access to the information. I have over 21,000 records in just one of my data bases.

Some of the names I am reseraching are Allen, Black, Bliss, Bradley, Brockett, Brown, Bulkeley, Bulkley, Canaan, Case, Chancellor, Church, Conger, Cornwell, Countryman, Day, De Louzada, Dutton, Elder, Edmondson, Faris, Fife, Goddard, Gough, Hardee, Harper, Hemphill, Herron, Holcomb, Hukill, Knox, Louzada, McConnell, McCormick, Merriman, Minor, Morton, Norris, Ogburn, Phyfe, Rittenhouse,Shaw, Smith, Street, Todd, Tuttle, Warren, Wheeler, Williams, Young, and many others...

I am a Life Member of the Ross County Historical Society, Steuben County Historical Society, a former member of the Hemphill Historical Society and the Rittenhouse Family Association and several other groups.
I am a member of DAR. Also, although I am a Mayflower descendant, I have not yet joined that society.
