RE: James Robert Barker
I found the obit in a scrap book belonging to the late Dorothy Susan Tate. It did not indicate which newspaper it was from. All articles in her large collection were scanned and indexed. The CD containing these articles can be obtained from the Kingdom of Callaway Historical Society in Fulton, MO. I suspect that the article was in either a newspaper from Fulton or Montgomery City.

You might contact the Kingdom of Callaway Historical Society, they can probably tell you which paper published this obituary.

offensive message?
I'm sorry if the previous message sounded offensive, because it sure wasn't meant to be. I realize that some people may still not be aware of the automatic editing feature, so I like to point it out in cases where that seems to be a possibility.

The picture on Harvey's page clearly shows her birth year as 1836--you could very easily have entered a correction changing 1896 to 1836 and I would have accepted it. I'm glad that picture was there, of course, because otherwise I would have had to check the 1900 census record, which does give her birth month as February 1836.

Mary Ann Meeker
I am confused as to why the DAR wants this information. You are not related to Mary Ann, and the DAR should know that gravestones aren't official records.

1884 is the correct date for Mary A Meeker Fulerton's death. There must have been an error on the gravestone. I brought this up with the Hstorical Society years ago when we visited Greeley but got no good answer.
Ralph Meker Fullerton's records all show hi birth as 1884.

The best person to answer your questions about the early Gravelys is Sally Parker. She is the expert on the Henry Co, VA. clan. Her email is tackygraphics@gmail.com
Hope this helps.

RE: Sponsler
Thank you for your kind words. I'm not related to the Sponsler's so I don't have an answer to your question if they are same. My only suggestion may be the Cumberland County Historical Society -- they might have something there that would help.

RE: James Crisom
Are you talking about Familysearch.org the Mormon website? All I see is Census info. Do you have a copy of the will? If so, can you send it to me, or give me a little more info on where to find it? I have some other people on Find a Grave who are interested, also.

Thanks,

Phyllis
