When I was in my 20's I found my grandmother's scrapbook that traced one ancestral line back to pre-Revolutionary War times. My sister and I sat for days transcribing it via an old manual typewriter. Good thing I did - that scrapbook disappeared after MeeMaw died. It sparked an interest in genealogy that has recurred, and I'm currently researching again.
