Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been working on my family history for 30 years. Four years ago a friend of mine and I decided it would be fun to physically read the tombstones in the local cemeteries. After the readings we add the information to FindAGrave and local libraries. We trust that this will help others with their searches. If you wish to make additions to entries I have made I will be happy to update them with your information. Good luck in your searches.

Penny what information would you be

The person who is helping to upgrade the
cemetery has our Noah Emrick buried in the
this cemetery.

The reason why, is because a person
removed Nhah's headstone from the Weston
and placed the headstone in the Old
Cemetery or Sawyer cemetery. This most
likely happened during the time the
Weston cemetery was vandalized.

Noah's true place of birth has now been
correted. I have notified the KPC news
Kendallville, and they have corrected
the mistake with a new column

I am working with the Wayne Twp., trustee
today wanting to resolve what to do with
Noah's headstone. This has to be done
with legal permission.

Duplicate Find A Grave entry
I think there are two pages for the same person.
Earl W. Kallmeyer memorial # 86940315 is the same person as Karl W. Kalmeyer memorial #144169730. The correct date of death I think is Apr 11, 1867.
The spelling of the last name is Kalmeyer.

Link for Martha Fogwell Imel
Hi Penny, Thank you for your information on Find a Grave. I wonder if you would be willing to add a link to Mary Fogwell's Site. Her obituary mentions her: "She was also preceded in death by a twin sister, Marthe Imel."

Martha's site is Find A Grave Memorial# 53258209
Mary's site is Find A Grave Memorial# 95421697

Thank you!

Port Mitchell
Hi Penny,
Have you had any luck finding the Port Mitchell Cemetery by any chance? I spoke with the home owners in that area, and one of them told me he had heard there was a cemetery there at one time, but had never found any markers. He did not want me to poke around the property looking for anything. I also spoke with an old timer who remembered seeing the markers in the 1960's, but now he thinks a house is sitting where they were. Doesn't that seem crazy that they would just be forgotten?
