Thanks Phyllis. Her maiden name was spelled Yotter by most of the people in her family. It was originally Yoder but I think they must have started spelling it phonetically. My family used to think it was Yetter but after I did more research, I decided the preferred spelling was Yotter.

I fully understand. I will post a picture request which hopefully someone local can respond to. I appreciate all of your efforts.

Is there by chance any markings on the other side(s) of the monument? The death index indicates her husband died in that town.

May I use the photos you took of Caroline Darling's grave marker in my ancestry.com tree? I will note their attribution in the manner you prefer.

You're welcome. Pat Hunsche, from our Washington County Genealogical Society, will be printing your FindaGrave page and also the one in Honolulu, and putting both into our Large Obituary book, and then I believe she is working on getting his name added to our Veterans Memorial Plaza (even my husband and sons, who weren't born in Washington County, but lived here for a time, and served our nation in the military, are listed there). Pat served as a WAVE. The obit I sent you isn't yet on our free online site, but soon will be posted (another lady does the postings for that). Pat is also the one who delves into the microfiche records to find and then print off obits. If you look really closely at the tombstones, you will see that yours in Lyons is older, and without a number in the upper right, but the one in Honolulu does have a number in the upper right.
