Colorado Springs Police Officers killed in the line of duty and were fellow Officers and friends with my brother.
There is a special place in my heart for the Moore, OK tornado victims and for the whole town. My husband and I lived in Moore and Norman in 1989-1992. Our only child was born there during that time.
My husband's niece's husband, Mark Byrd passed away Aug. 15, 2014. He was 41 years old.
My niece's husband, Aric Fleury passed away Jan. 31, 2012. He was 26 years old. It breaks my heart. I'm sure my mom is taking very good care of him!!
My mother, Marie Wolf Doll Lemesany, passed away May 18, 2011. I miss her so much!
My father-in-law, Ewell "Gene" McGowan passed away Sept. 22, 2010.
My brother, Steve passed away July 30, 2008. It was on our mother's 82nd birthday. She was never the same after he passed away. They are together now.
My step-father, Richard Lemesany was one in a million!! He married my Mom when I was almost 13. We only had him for a little over 10 years but he made our lives so much better while he was with us.
My father, Louis Doll, Jr., passed away in 1971 when I was 6 years old. Researching his side of the family has been a challenge. He was born in Monument, Liberty Township, Centre, PA. His parents were from Munson, Clearfield Co., PA. He was raised in Wharton, Morris Co., NJ, and was stationed at Camp Carson (now Fort Carson) in Colorado Springs when he met my mother in Dec. 1946. She was born in St Charles, MO and was raised in Colo. Spgs., CO. My mom was Miss Camp Carson in 1945.
I was born in NJ, raised in Colorado Springs, El Paso Co., CO, and now live in Barren Co., KY.
Researching the following:
St Charles Co., Mo- Wolf, Gentemann, LePage, Himmelsbach, Klinghammer, plus other branches and twigs!!
Clearfield Co., PA- Doll, Bailey, McDonald, Jenney, Hendershot, plus some unknowns!! Please wish me luck!!
Wharton, Morris Co., NJ- Doll
Russell Co. KY- McGowan, Harris, Tucker, Popplewell and others

Yes the web address is https://www.coloradohistoricnewspapers.org
Routt County seems to have a good deal of newspapers on the site (it goes to 1977). Some of the other counties don't have as good a coverage.
I am needing Las Animas and LaJunta. LaJunta has 0 papers and Las Animas only has 2 to 3 years in the 1800's on.
If the address doesn't work, let me know and I will resend it.
Hi, Have any of your family had your DNA done, this man looks just like our family. Any information would be appreciated. thank you

|xed_over||Re: Carl H Shelby|
Thank you for the changes to connect LouJean Wheeler to Carl H Shelby, and especially for verifying the sources.
LouJean Wheeler was married three times. 1st to Hershel Dean Smith and had a son Randy, then to Carl Harding Shelby and had a daughter Carla Jean. Then finally to Dean Gooding.
My sources are still incomplete

|Pia||RE: Demarquis/Demosquis Lobb|
Based on original documents and not transcriptions
1879- On son Buford's death certificate he is listed as Marquis
1870 & 1880 census as Demarcus
1910 census as Demarquis
Original civil war pension card he is Demarquis
(3 other civil war record transcripts have him as
1917 His own death cert he is spelled Demarcus
1964- son Harrry death cert has him as Demarcus
Sometimes the M is capitalized; he also used D. M., so I think the capital is correct. It's hard to decipher old records when often written by poor spellers w little education back then.
So that is his name no matter how spelled. Army used Demarquis but he seemed to prefer Demarcus/DeMarcus even if not his christening name.

Interesting he used Mark as I have seen he sometimes used Demarcus whether by choice or transcription error I don't know. I will get back to you with my sources.
