Bio

Hi, I have lived most of my life in and around Cadiz, Trigg County,KY until I recently moved to Mayfield, Graves County, Kentucky. I have been doing Genealogy since the mid 1970's when my Grandmother thought someone needed to record the family history and she elected me since she was living with me at the time.

This family history stuff is a never ending hobby. I have slowed down in the last few years but I don't think I will ever give it up. Now that I am retired it has picked up speed again. This time it is more helping others as I have hit brick walls on my families. I will try again with them.

My "Joyce" ancestors came to this area of Kentucky in the mid 1840's and settled in what was known then as Between the Rivers but is now known as LBL or Land Between the Lakes. They came here from East Tennessee and earlier from Virginia and North Carolina.

I am married(2nd) and have three children and nine grandchildren. Both of my Great Grandfather served in the Civil War, one on each side.

I put up memorials that I have no connection with because if I go to a cemetery to get other pictures I sometimes that extra pictures while I am there and post the memorials. If I have any memorials that belongs to your family let me know and I will gladly transfer them to you. Or if you find I have made any mistakes (I am human) just let me know and I will gladly correct them.
