|I started my research in 1995, looking for Lockhart and Sams (my father's parents). My mother was one of fourteen and my father was one of eleven. I have eighty-one cousins - YES COUSINS! A very large family!|
My husband started his research in 2009 when he became the oldest living relative at age 49. He thought he had a small family with one cousin. His great grandparents came from large families - most of which he never knew.
Since then, I am now researching the names of Edgar, Radcliff, Markley, Sheppard, Somerville, Steed and Cheuvront (also on Father's side); Stacey, Pillar [Pilyer], Como, Aston and Hopper (Mother's family). During 2009, my husband showed interest in his ancestry so we are now researching the names of Stockdale, Leon (Leone) and Ankrom (Tyler Co). Currently over 37,000 in our tree.
During our research, the enjoyment of finding documentation that you never thought you would find and sharing it, is so satisfying and pleasing. Some of the expressions from my parents are priceless.
Memories are so very important to me! Those we can keep close and forever, are wonderful.
The memorials I have added have been made for memories and to assist those who do genealogy. They are not intended to hurt or upset anyone. If one has been posted that you prefer does not appear, just kindly contact me and it will be removed immediately upon request. My family is updated as I find more information and some memorials are currently waiting for burial information.
If you have pictures or anything that you can add to any memorial, please feel free to do so. The more we can help each other, the more we help others!
I appreciate all those who help in my search as I know those that I help do appreciate it also. FAG has been a remarkable tool in my research with those contributors in various states posting memorials that I have found and needed! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Please visit the memorial for my father, whom I adored and loved so much and will miss until we meet again. Herbert Lockhart

THE STRANGERS IN THE BOX
Author - Pamela A Harazim
Come, look with me inside this drawer
in this box I've often seen
At the pictures, black and white
Faces proud, still and serene
I wish I knew the people
These strangers in the box
Their names and all their memories
Are lost among the socks.
I wonder what their lives were like,
How did they spend their day?
What about their special times?
I'll never know their ways.
If only someone would have taken time,
To tell who, what and when,
Those faces of my heritage
Would come to life again.
Could this become the fate
Of this pictures we take today?
The face and the memories
Someday to be tossed away.
Make time to save your pictures
Seize the opportunity when it knocks
Or someday you and yours could be
The strangers in the box.

How about I transfer my Lockharts to you and you can decide where to put them. I know it's frustrating about cemeteries changing names, then you find two listings for the same person and have no clue where they belong unless you do research like you did.
Just went back to check the Lockharts at Pickens Cemetery and noticed you have done memorials at Sandy Creek. I took my info from a Jackson County Historical publication. Do you know where they are actually buried? Or are Pickens and Sandy Creek the same cemetery? Whatever we decide to do, I'd just like to have correct info. Thanks. Linda
How about if I just delete mine? You're a family member and I'm not. I know there is a way to combine them, but I've never done it. Anyway, let me when you're ready and I'll delete mine. Linda

I did this memorial (183332185) a while back so transferred over to you as you have done all the siblings . Hope this is OK . Bill Taylor
|Shirley Patrick||Letitia Delilah Smith|
Letitia's mother Mary Ann Booth Smith was a sister of my great grandfather Alexander Selkirk 'Curt' Booth. A gal from Ohio (descendant of Curt & Mary Ann's sister Florence) did the 'hands on' research for me. The older family members that she interviewed said that Letitia and Clarence Wade never married. My records show they only had one son Arnold Alvin Wade (1907-1980). Hope this helps.

I just want to commend you for your work on this website, folks like you make a difference.Thank you !
Thanks for the information on Sandra. I created her memorial based on the stone and don't have any further knowledge of her life. I did add your information to her record.
