I've lived on a farm/ranch in northeast Colorado for 52 years. Before that, I was a city girl. My husband and I have three grown children and 7 grandchildren. I retired in 2007, and now spend every spare moment doing genealogy research online. Most of my ancestors were in VA, MO, NC, and PA. I am a member of DAR, always looking for Johnson, Kivett, Pyrtle, Stone, Spencer, Shelton, Gessley, McCart, McGinnis, Donovan, and Hunter surnames.|

Thanks for trying to take a photo of these stones for me. I am at a loss as to where they are buried. I'll keep looking.

Thank you for looking for Virginia's grave in Big Springs. Her obituary said she was cremated and buried at a later date in Big Springs. Evidently that later date has not come as of yet. She passed away in 2003. Thanks again. Sheryl Johns
Thank you very much for the photos.

In regard to the headstone, this is probably her stone. I'm assuming it is just made of limestone. They sure don't hold up over the years. The dates that are visible match up with her birth at 1853 and she passed in 1921. I would say it is her stone.
Thank you for letting us know. You can post it if you agree that it is her stone.
