Bio and Links
Bio Photo My wife Sandy and I have been actively involved in hunting for our ancestors for over 50 years. It is a good thing we started young. We have searched archives, libraries, and cemeteries across the country. We have travelled abroad to England, Norway and Germany to continue our search. In 2002, I published a book on my Strother ancestry. Presently, I am working on another book that will encompass ancestors on all family lines for both Sandy and me.

When not working on genealogy, I enjoy hiking in the Arizona desert. It is more beautiful than I can describe and great exercise. I play golf (high handicap), another activity to get me outside. I love good food and wine, old movies and my bourbon. Retired life is good!

RE: Commonalityy of Name
Ed, Will you tell me how to access your data base? Want to check for Murdock/hs. Thanks,

Commonalityy of Name
In surfing find a grave for ancestors I saw your name on a memorial you had entered. Don't think we have and biological commonality other than name.
My name is Strother Edward Murdoch, Jr. and I live in SC. My dad had no idea where the "Strother" came from as it appears no where else in our family. I am interested in any info you have on the origin and nationality of the name. To top it off our son is the III.

Thank you so much for getting the photo of Captain Sayers. It's one of the only modern grave markers in that cemetery

I believe mine is correct from info and picture of stone from Charlie Wingard's blog and I don't know where John West's info is from.

Selbu Garberg family
I noticed you have created memorials for several Garbergs in the Selbu church cemetery in Norway. Are you connected to that family? If so, we may be related. You'll find my email address on my profile page if you want to communicate directly. - Connie

Do you remember where she is buried? You took the grave photo.

Thank you, K.

My family lives in the Salt Lake/Logan area, and I spend a couple months in the summer there. I am running a little late getting there!!

Well then would you rather transfer yours to me so I can delete one?

Is this your family? I created a memorial, took photos, linked etc...discovered afterwards there was the memorial you created. Your birth and death dates were 1912-1930 instead of 1930-2012, which is what the marker has and why I didn't catch the original.

If your family, I can transfer to you, and let you keep the one you choose. Mine has additional photos, and linkage.

I have no relationship to this person, just working the section this marker was in.
