I am a 73 year old great grandmother who works on genealogy every day. I was born in Jefferson Co., New York but now live in Davenport, Florida. My family is very important to me. My hobbies include reading, genealogy, crocheting, & baking. I have traveled in the past within the USA even living in Alaska for a couple years when I was a child. I have found 4 of my relatives tombstones on this site one in Alaska I never would have been able to visit. I am very proud to become a part of it.|
I found this site looking for relatives and where they were buried and started adding some that were not listed . I also found that some of the cemeteries themselves weren't listed. Most of my memorials are for relatives but not all so if you find one you want transferred ask and if they are not closely related to me I will be happy to transfer them to you. I think they belong with family. If you have any additions (or corrections)also let me know.My email has an underscore between the T & M that doesn't show up good.
I have found this site very helpful to resize pictures that you want to add here.
This link is from Sharon Hanson Frey's member page. It is one of the best tools for genealogy I have seen in a long time. It gives you a birth date when you find only the death date and person's age on their tombstone.

|Kathleen||Jonathan Gilbert 1682|
Hi, I have found a Jonathan Gilbert buried in the Ancient Burying Ground. They have him buried in high esteem in 1682, listing his mother and father the same as in your memorial. Great photos of the graves and the cemetery. I would love to visit. This Jonathan Gilbert is my 7 great grandfather on my mother's side of the family.
You could see about merging the memorials if you feel that this is the same Jonathan Gilbert. Thanks, Kathleen

Just saw your note regarding Rachel's photo. I'm so glad you enjoyed it! It was found while researching my 3rd gr-grandmother Livona/Lovina Collins Joles from Jefferson Co., NY. I believe they may be related, but am not certain.
|Carol Jean Sprague||RE: Stella M Sprague Presley|
Mother was a Wentworth, direct line to Elder William Wentworth 1615-1697. Father is a Sprague born in Chaumont, N.Y..
Yes, we're probably cousins, several times removed. We are in the same generation by the way!
Best to you always,
Carol Jean Sprague
|Bruce Zatz||RE: Samuel Budoff|
I am a Budoff (originally Budowla). It was my great-grandmother's maiden name. We must have many relatives in common
|Bruce Zatz||RE: Samuel Budoff|
You're welcome. Are you related?
|Cheryl Ayres||Re: Clarence E Mason aka Claude R Gotham|
I think I know why he changed his name, he ran off with Rose who was a wife of Wallace Bancroft. Wallace was trying to sue him for damages of alienation & criminal conversation. I gleaned this information from newspapers.

Hello Thelma, I'm researching the Gilbert side of my family and wondered on some of these entries it will state a cemetery they are in yet I cannot find proof of that family member buried there. As these are older dates in the 1600's how is it being verified that they in fact were buried in that particular cemetery. Thanks

|Gerald Deckard||RE: Sylvia Slate|
You did a good job making my suggested changes to Sylvia’s memorial. I would rather do it myself. But having someone else make my requested changes is the best next thing.
I will be working in this area for a while and will be requesting memorial changes for other people and for Sylvia.
If you have any questions or comments, do not hesitate to ask.
