Mildred Jenkins
Hello! I can't believe I have to bring you bad news, again. The office staff gave the location for Mildred's grave as J Plot, lot 1730. There is no headstone on that lot. I poked around with my hand trowel but I could not feel anything. I am sorry this was an unhappy outcome once again. I am fulfilling your request with photos of the area. I put a sprig of flowers to mark the spot.

Best regards,

Carl Edward Reed
Hello! I am about to fulfill your photo request but unfortunately, it appears that his grave is unmarked. The cemetery staff gave his location as La Sol Plot, lot 542. There are two other Reeds at that location: Lee A. Reed and Sylvia E. Reed. They must be related; I suppose Carl and Lee were brothers? Anyway, because of the fact that his death was in 1933, there is a possibility that there is a headstone and it is buried under the sod. I suggest that you contact the office and ask if there is supposed to be a marker. If there is supposed to be one, please let me know and I can put in a work order to have it uncovered. If they tell you there is no marker, ask them who he is buried next to. I think he is to the left of Lee, but I can't be sure.

I am sorry this was not a more positive outcome. I am always disappointed when there isn't a marker.

Best regards,

You have two memorials of this person, a cousin of my husbands. Memorial 52477829 needs to be deleted because 52477830 has the most information and a pic of her stone.

RE: The Emersons - Catalina Island
Hi Vince. I finally got photos of their marker, and they have been added to their memorials. It must have been set within the past 6 months, because it was not there when I checked late last October.

Best regards,

Cemetery mix up
Trinity and New Trinity are the same cemetery. They need to be combined if possible.

RE: The Emersons - Catalina Island
Hello, Vince. This is a follow-up on what happened earlier this year. I was out at the cemetery recently, and visited the office of the City Clerk. She told me that a marker had been set. I went out to look for it, with the plot map in hand, and it STILL has not been set. In the lot next to the Emersons is a marker for Kelly Anne Emerson, who I assume must be either their daughter or their daughter-in-law. This marker was not there on my last trip, even though the year of death was back in 2011. Maybe the recent placement of her marker was what the City Clerk was referring to when she told me a stone has recently been set.

I won't be going again until next spring, but I will look again for a headstone on my next trip. By the way, the Clerk wanted to know what my relationship is. Of course I had to tell her I was doing this for someone else. What is your relationship?

Best regards,

Robert Matthew Leverence
Hi Vince, I am looking for the name of the brother of Robert Matthew Leverence. Something happened to this brother and when my son in law Matthew Allen Leverence was born, his mother may have died because Robert Matthew and his wife Lucille adopted my son in law as well as his two sisters. My son in law and my daughter died in Oregon. Their two sons hope to learn about thier biological grand father. One of these boys was named for Robert Matthew, just as their dad Matthew Allen was named. I have been unable to find a 1930 census for Robert Matthew Leverence although I found a 1940 census. The 1930 census may name Bob's elder brother, the biological father of Matthew Allen Leverence who Lucille and Bob adopted.
We will appreciate any information which you are willing to share.
I too am a contributor to findagrave.
