Find a Grave ID

Bio

I've been tracing my family history for around 40 years. I have received a lot of help from other people mostly strangers when I've needed some record or photo taken. I thought it was time to return the favour and to cycle to the local graveyards and photograph the memorials there. Not many graves locally had been done at a number of sites, so I have the opportunity to photo and transcribe them. I make every effort to read any grave marker I find, some though are too buried or worn. This may be of use to somebody in the future. If you add any pictures please let me know, they are hard to spot. Any error spotting will be gratefully received. Thanks

The dates I surveyed various cemeteries completely were:-
Chesham Bois Burial Ground, Chesham Bois March-June 2020. Chesham Bois Parish Council provide a complete set of burial records within the cemetery on their website. It seems to be updated annually.

St Leonards Church, Chesham Bois, June 2020 - July 2020. St Leonards had an incomplete set of burials on their website due to the age of some memorials (this was at 2020).

The Platt Cemetery and Kings Churchyard, Amersham July-September 2020. Amersham council wouldn't provide a list, you have to call them to find if someones buried there. I could only report what I saw.

Dulverton Congregational Church, Dulverton August 2020. only a few gravestones in a courtyard.

Broadway Baptist Chapel, Chesham, August 2020. Stone against wall in car park at side of church.

Stanley Hill Cemetery, Amersham July 2020-June 2021. Amersham council wouldn't provide a list, you have to call them to find if someones buried there. I could only report what I saw.
