Bio and Links
Bio Photo Four years ago I came across this website and found a great-grandmother I was looking for. Ever since then I have been using this website to locate and add family.

My mother's family consists of: Dufty, Frisby, Lundy, Brenizer, Hiner, Todd, Landreth, Bell, Drake, Price, Hinds, Higday, Larkin, Kennedy, Buscher, and Thimesch.

My father's family includes: Powell, Anderson, Hawkins, Yeley, Cooper, Robertson, Wade, Balser, Lamar, and Smarsh.

I live just outside of Denver, Colorado in the summer but am a student the rest of the year in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. We support the Friends of Historic Riverside Cemetery in Denver with its ongoing restoration and eventual preservation. I welcome any and all revisions to all memorials!!! Thanks!!!

STILL ACTIVE, please have patience as I am an incredibly busy college student trying to get a Major in Historic Preservation. I'll do my best to fulfill all requests for editing and transfers. When making requests of transfers and revisions please make them through the edit tab on the email so I will receive an email.

Isabella Hoskinson Quidk
This is not my line but Isabella's brother is. Her parents were Josiah Hoskinson 1759 and Acey Brent 1725. Isabella's husband was Morgan John Quick 1825-1913 and his father was Tunis Quick and mother, Susanna Records. That is all I know.
Hope you can use this.

Powells in Indiana
I read your are a busy fellow! Thanks for all your work on this great site as well as on family history.

I think a piece I saw on ancestry may have been one you wrote about the civil war vet, William Luther Powell. Nice work.

I have been doing a bit of linking, edits, suggestions and have probably sent you a few. I think the Powells and Addingtons in Indiana along with McCools and McVeys etc. did a bit of "relationship building" over the years!

Thanks again for your efforts on the family. All the best, Diane Addington Matherly

Elizabeth Rice Brumfield - Sandhill Cemetery, IN
Hey Nick,
Thanks for all the work you have put into Find a Grave. I am researching my family line in the Brumfields. I have found some interesting things. I have strong reason to believe that Elizabeth Rice Brumfield is actually Elizabeth Averitt. James Brumfield married Elizabeth Rice in Greenup Co. KY in 1818. A different James Brumfield married Elizabeth Averitt in Washington Co. KY in 1820. Some of the children's death certificates indicate Averitt as the mother. The Yeley's were in the mix too, which I see you have them in your lineage. Let me know when you have some time to look into this, I would be interested and tweaking the record for her if we could prove this is the case.
Thanks, Jeff Casper, WY

John T. Jackson Memorial 28089200
Why is the memorial for John T. connected to Samuel and Vashti Jackson? Both Glen Jackson kit 168075 and Nathan Jackson kit 154352 that are direct male descendants of John T. Jackson have proven to be in the I-M253 haplogroup while the descendants of Samuel Jackson are in the I-M223. This memorial needs to be changed.

1 ♂ William Jackson Sr; b {abt} 1761 {poss} Scotland; d {aft} 1820 Clark, Indiana
..2 ♂ John Jackson; b 1795 Kentucky; d 1872 Clark, Indiana

John Henderson Bell
Hi Nick - you have John Henderson Bell in the Methodist cemetery in Mifflin county. This is incorrect. He is in the Vira Presbyterian cemetery (and someone has correctly placed him there, so yours is a duplicate and also has him in the wrong cemetery). You might want to check a number of the Bells that you have in the Methodist cemetery at Vira as most Bells are already in the Presbyterian cemetery at Vira (Mifflin county, Pa).

Thanks for removing the duplicates as they do confuse people especially when they show the same person buried in 2 different cemeteries :-)

Samuel Drake 1747-1826
I am looking for a source for Samuel Drakes Burial in Matilda Furnace Cemetery. I have a document showing Samuel Drake being buried at the Postlethwaite cemetery in Newton Hamilton, Mifflin county, Pa. Thanks for your help. Keep up the good work.

A friend told me about this change a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent an edit/s to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. thanks!!! ~Peggy

New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"

******Please Note******
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013

Go to your Contributor/Profile page. Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.

Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/places/plot numbers/links. If you don't approve within 21 days it will automatically accept it.

You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.

Todd Whitesides
Andrew Trotter & Julia Ann Mills
I visited their graves today which I hadn't done in 30 years when my grandfather took me to show where his family was buried. I've added the photos and sponsored both memorials today as well. I hope you will consider letting me maintain these ancestors' memorials. I've spent the last thirty years researching them both and their ancestry, and would appreciate being able to make their memorials something better than they are now. I hope you will consider the transfer as it comes from a genuine wish to develop their memorials. If you are amenable to their numbers are

Julia Ann Mills #18582023
