Hi, My name is Vannetta McDowell, I have been searching for my ancestors for over 20 years which is a relatively short time as researching goes. My passion is to help others in their search while continuing the search for my own.

I am a member of the Captain Henry Vanderburgh chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution(DAR)for 16years. I am the 2022-2024 Regent for our Chapter. I am also a member of the Hugh McGary Sr. 1812 Society ( Charter Member ) and The Brig. Gen Eli Huston Murray NSDU 1861-1865 ( Charter Member). I am also a member of Tri State Genalogical Society. (18 years) .

I started taking pictures of tombstones to add to my own family tree. When I found this find-a-grave site, I found my Revolutionary War soldiers tombstone picture. I was so greatful, it made me want to pay it forward.

What I like about adding information to this website is that it is a free site. I refuse to place my hard work on a website that gets paid for people to view what I have added for free. So as long as this site stays free I will contribute all I can.
