Sorry for the confusion. I have a copy of the sexton book of Greenwood and after I had no reply from you about the obit I typed one out but then found that she is actually buried in Fairlawn which
I believe you have the site in Fairlawn. I have asked Find A Grave to solve the problem. Sorry for the confusion but glad to know that Find A Grave will take care of it so that she only has one grave site.
Janet, I've sent you a message to your gmail account listed, regarding your research at Mackey.
Many Thanks. KLC

I wish Malinda's grave had a stone. It probably did have one at one time but time, weather, and lack of care take their toll on the old cemeteries. If you go to my website (http://www.genealogybug.net/union_cems/brannon/brannon.htm) there is a photo of the cemetery as we found it; a truly sad sight.

|Greg Lamberson||RE: Marion Andrews|
Yes, that's correct. His full name is Marion Murl Andrews. But he went by Murl, not Marion. I used to go to his house and run my little matchbox cars up and down the banister rail in front of his house, but Aunt Lutie didn't like it and thought it would scratch the paint. But Uncle Murl was a very gentle and loving person, and the patriarch of the family after his older brother Malvo had died after the horse he was riding reared up, and it fell on him and the saddle horn went into his stomach.
I know very well what everyone called him, just like I know everyone in the family calls his son Marion Dean but everyone else calls him Dean. It's a tradition in this family that most people go by their middle names. His brother Malvo was the only one of the kids that went by his first name. His dad did (and was called Jeff), his older sister (Vivian), his brother (Wayne), his other little brother (Glenn), and my grandmother (Winona or Nona).
So while you are correct in saying what his full name was, I don't need to read any draft cad to know what everyone called him.
The only addition I have made to his entry is his nickname, the name people called him. That's Murl.
