Bio and Links
I am a poet, photographer, historian and journalist currently living in Maine. I have 5 children, four of whom were born in the Bronx, NY, and we lived in China for 5 years.

I attended Gordon College and Nyack College and I graduated Fordham University (Edgar Allen Poe), studied poetry at NYU, have a library science degree from the Univ. of Rhode Island.

While I have an interest in all things related to graves and cemeteries and theology, I am most interested in photographing the graves of American poets and researching their views on death and God, as reflected in their poetry and writings.

RE: James Welch
Dear Walter,
I was just about to post a page for James Welch today, since there was no page for him in Missoula, much less St. Mary's, when I discovered that someone with the same surname had posted a page in FG with no location. So I added my picture of "the poet's tree," as I think of it. The page is #22324908. Haven't been able to find Ripley's son in that cemetery.

RE: James Welch
Dear Walter, let me see if I can get you that picture, and look for her son.

RE: John McNeil in Wagram
Sorry, I was just passing through Wagram when I took that photo. It's not the best in the world, I know. I wish I could have done a better job. If I ever go back I will try to do better. I don't remember seeing the poem on his stone, but I probably missed it in my rush. Sorry. :(

Ahmos Zu-Bolton
Good Morning
I went to Community Cemetery here in DeRidder and located the Cemetery Plots for Amos and Annie Bolton.
There was also markers for Ahmos Zu-Bolton and an infant named Shonta Bolton.
I took photos of all of them and added memorials to Community Cemetery for Ahmos and Shonta.
You can go to the Find a Grave site for Community Cemetery and see photos for all of them.

RE: William Phelps
I believe he is one of the graves in the plot closest to the entrance by the Sexton's office. His is also right on the western edge of the plot. Hope this helps you in your search!
