|I became interested in genealogy back when i was in College many years ago and took a class on it when i grew up in Alabama. I think my interest started because my great grandmother had kept a list of family members with all the dates on my mothers side way back to before the Civil War so that was a nice start. She also had a big box of old family letters and papers that were over 100 years old.|
I didn't do a lot back then and a lot of time passed. I have lived in North Carolina for many years now. A cousin of mine once removed got interested in genealogy and sent me an invite to join ancestry.com which got me interested again and I have been researching off and on for almost 2 yrs now.
Also another researcher I knew about who wrote my grandfather many years ago lived near me in NC so I contacted him and have gotten some info from him as a long time researcher.
I very much enjoy finding out info about ancestors of mine and especially finding old photos. Seeing family resemblances really shows how genetics can really play a huge part in where we came from.
Please do not take any of my photos without asking me first especially people photos for I have done a lot of extensive work in photoshop on those. Thanks.

I did and me and my mother enjoyed it so much! I take care of my 80 year old mother and I'm 60 years old and yesterday and today has been rough and that's why it took me so long to get back with you. If I have the strength to reply to your email tonight I will do so. I wanted to tell you alot of different things. Thank you so very much for the pictures and information. That was really fast! Thanks for all the work you do on Find a Grave, I would still be in the dark about Bessie. My mom remembers her and they favor alot. Mom doesn't look like her mother so we are guessing now that mom and her brother take after the Dunlaps. Bessie is their aunt also. Craig thanks again for all that information I haven't been so excited as I was yesterday in a very long time. lol Janet

Craig, You have made my whole last ten years worth all the searching. Bessie and her parents and siblings are my one brickwall. I am sooooo excited to finally find someone that knows of her. Hopefully I can meet some of your family members and get to know something about Bessie and everyone involved with her. I don't have a clue about her parents, which are my great grandparents, or William Jackson Dunlap, her brother, which is my grandfather. Bessie's siblings and parents all died at an early age it seems. And I don't know where, why or how about any of them. My phone number is 770-912-9145 and my name is Janet. I feel like a kid at Christmas time I'm so excited, and when you get my age nothing much excites you anymore haha. Thank you so much for getting in touch with me. You made this old womens years!!!! Can't wait to hear from you!! Janet Piearcy Collum

Hello, Bessie is my great aunt and I have tried to find out any information on her that I can, but the Dunlap family doesn't have any pictures or know that much about her. I need information on her parents also and great grandparents. Her parents were John Wesley Dunlap and Lonie Bell Bush, when they died William L Bush and Dilla Smith, Bessie's grandparents went by horse and buggie to get them in Florida and back to Alabama to live with them. I am hoping so much you might know someone that has pictures of Bessie and her parents and her grandparents. George Robert Dunlap and Rebecca Lambert are her other set of grandparents. I would appreciate any information you have on any of them. Bessie married Elder William Dixon and had 3 children, which I just found out from you, by clicking on all the names of Dixon, William Dixon, parents, Sandy Dixon and wife. I think you were on Sandy Dixon wife's memorial. Thanks so much for your time and also can I copy the pictures you have of Sandy and his wife and all other Dixons? Do you have pictures of Bush family and Smith family and Dunlap family or know someone who might? I haven't ever seen a picture of Bessie married to Elder William Dixon. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org Can't wait to hear from you. This surname is my biggest brick wall, Bessie Dunlap married to Elder William Dixon. Thanks for any help you can give me Janet Piearcy Collum.
The marriages should appear in the order they occurred. Martha should be listed first and then Estelle. I have removed the link on Martha's memorial and submitted an edit to George's to try to fix the marriage order. Please accept the edit and hopefully this will fix it.

You're welcome! The reason I went out there is to try and list all of the marked graves on here. In many cemeteries, other transcribers go in and list only the older graves. Therefore, FindAGrave has a partial listing on many of their cemeteries. I like to add all of the rest, as I know that people are searching for their graves, especially if they live far away.
