Hello. I was born in Everett, PA, raised in Bedford, PA, Bedford County, Pennsylvania located in Western PA, and have spent most of my adult life living in Eastern PA and Delaware. As a child I always had a healthy fascination with cemeteries and what they represent for not only those beings that have transitioned to the next plane, but for those left behind to mourn for the loss and remember the many who have touched our lives. I have always considered the Mount Union Cemetery, located in Lovely, PA, just outside of Pavia, PA, to be my family cemetery. My maternal side of the family has a long documented history in Bedford County PA and America dating back to the 1600's. We are so proud of the dedication, service and sacrifice given by our ancestors as they valiantly fought in the American Revolution and Civil Wars, both World War's, Korea and Vietnam. Our family genealogy is strong and some of our cousins include: Abe Lincoln, Jacob Dibert who had a dream about the Lost Children of the Alleghenies, and Eve (Indian Eve) Imler Sammel. Most of the souls resting in Mount Union Cemetery are related to my family. We are related to the Harbaugh's, Imler's, Allison's, Corle's, Mock's, Smith's, and other families affiliated with this cemetery. My relative, John Cyrus Harbaugh, buried in the cemetery, was Lead Carpenter in the construction of the Mount Union Church, Lovely, PA, sitting just below the cemetery. My living message to some of the loved ones that have transitioned: I miss and love you Ruth, Don, Louise, Hattie, Ross, Stephe, Amy, Brian, Bunny, Corinne, Laurie, Jan, and can't wait to be with you all in the next life.
