Many thanks for posting his most interesting biography! John was one of seven children—five girls, one of whom died in infancy, and two boys. His brother, Clarence Emir Allen Jr born Nov 18, 1891 in Salt Lake City, Utah, died July 15, 1918 at age 26 in France (second battle of the Marne). A 1st Lieutenant -One resource says he was buried in France; another says he was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Utah. Find A Grave # 171980

|Donna Wheat||Olivia "Ollie" Songer|
Hi My name is Donna Wheat and Ollie Songer is my gg grandmother. I noticed you displayed a photo of my gg grandmothers head stone. I have sent two of my relatives to find this headstone in the Palmer Cemetery in Flatwoods cemetery. They neither one could find it. Did you see this headstone yourself or did you receive the photo from someone else. I can't make out the date inscribed on the headstone. Would love to hear from you. The headstone looks like it reads November 5 1856 but not sure. Another person made a memorial and stated it read November 5 1866.If you could be of any help I would appreciate it. Thanks Donna
